About Us

I Masoud Yarash am an Uzbek from a family steeped in the ancient tradition of fine hand made rugs.

My grandfather started the family firm which involves huge numbers of expert craftsmen and women operating some 600 looms across Northern Afghanistan. Quality control ensures that the wool, dyeing, washing and finishing all match the great skill of the weavers.

Twenty years ago I came to the UK to establish the London end of the company, YARASH Oriental Rugs which has become an international business importing and selling a wide range of Afghan, Turkoman, Uzbek , Pakistani, Persian, Moroccan Rugs, kelims and artifacts.

Since 1985, it has been the family's vision to do more than make and sell rugs. This is an innovative company with a child free labour environment in which our women feel secure and enjoy independence.

As an Afghan-British company we strive to make a positive impact, not only in the industry, but in the safe future of our homeland, Afghanistan.
